As noted on our home page, there is an IRS scam call being made to clients in attempt to collect private information for stolen identity or money ‘owed to them’. Some of these numbers begin with a (202) or a (404) area code, for example, many of our clients have seen this number (404) 418-6621, and when you dial this number back, it doesn’t work. The IRS has all of their contact information on their webpage.

The IRS will never call you and leave you a mean message asking for your credit card information and such, you would get a letter in the mail. If you ever get a letter in the mail, you should always bring it to your accountant for review.
